Early Childhood Program

WIDE’s Early Childhood Program serves children from infancy through Pre-K, creating a warm and engaging foundation for lifelong learning.

Rooted in our core values, Wonder, Investigate, Discover, and Educate, each stage is designed to support developmental readiness, creativity, and a strong sense of self and community. Inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy, our approach honors each child as capable, curious, and full of potential. Learning is guided by inquiry, exploration, and meaningful interaction with the environment and others.

Our interdisciplinary, play-based curriculum nurtures independence, critical thinking, and self-direction, fostering a lifelong love of learning in even our youngest students.

Infant/Toddler (0–24 months)

In our Infant and Toddler classrooms, care and learning go hand in hand. Each day is grounded in helping children feel safe, loved, and deeply cared for. With a focus on responsive relationships, sensory exploration, and early communication, our youngest learners are supported as they begin to make sense of the world around them. Educators partner closely with families and observe attentively to support each child’s individual rhythm and developmental milestones.

Environments are designed to be calm, nurturing, and engaging, encouraging movement, expression, and discovery.

Preschool (3–4 years)

The Preschool program introduces children to a more structured, yet still playful, learning environment. Through inquiry-based experiences, children explore early academic concepts, social-emotional learning, and self-expression. Classrooms reflect children’s interests and promote collaboration, experimentation, and creativity.

Inspired by the Reggio Emilia belief in the child’s capability, preschoolers are encouraged to take initiative, make choices, and engage deeply with materials and ideas.

Pre-K/Bridge (4–5 years)

Our Pre-K/Bridge program prepares children for the transition to elementary school with a curriculum that balances child-led exploration and intentional instruction. Students engage in deeper project work, practice early literacy and numeracy, and strengthen executive function skills. With an emphasis on communication, resilience, and self-regulation, children are empowered to take ownership of their learning.

The classroom serves as a living laboratory for investigation, where curiosity and confidence grow side by side.
